Same scoring system as tennis but serves must be below the waist.

Padel balls resemble tennis balls but with lower pressure.

Padel rackets are stringless, typically made of fiberglass or carbon fiber, weigh between 10.5 and 14 ounces, and are 1.5 inches thick.

Created by Enrique Corcuera at his home in Acapulco, Mexico, he enclosed his court with walls and a metal fence that extended up to 12 feet on all sides to prevent the ball from escaping into his neighbor's property.

In 1969, the first-ever padel court was set up.

Pickleball originated in 1965 when Joel Pritchard and Bill Bell, on Bainbridge Island, WA, sought rackets but couldn't find any.

They improvised with ping pong paddles and a perforated plastic ball, eventually deciding to lower the badminton net to accommodate their new game.
